Stone age is a contemporary low-relief created by Fabrice Fanjoux for the Petrifying Fountains of Saint-Nectaire. This modern artwork is part of a diptych of two pieces, along with ‘Gold panner’ . The thematic focus of these low-reliefs is the mineral world, with the presence of basaltic organs in which a human figure emerges. This figure, smooth and gleaming, contrasts with the angular and rough volcanic rocks.
