A new direction
Roger-Hyacinthe takes over another petrifying site, The Fontaines Pétrifiantes de Saint-Alyre in Clermont-Ferrand, which his father had bought in 1933 and spends 15 years developping it.
He turns that site into a shop window of the art of petrification and concentrates the main production in Saint-Nectaire. From the 1960ies onwards both sites are opened to visitors to perpetuate that handicraft. Roger-Hyacinthe is the only owner of the 2 sites which he later shares out between 2 of his sons, Edmond-Michel and Patrick. The Clermont site is closed up in 2000 for lack of visitors.
