Goddess Diana is represented in a domestic position, surrounded by two angels. One of them, whom she embraces, is sitting on her lap. He holds an arrow. The other one, seated at her feet, holds a bow. The bow and arrow are the goddess’ attributes.
The engraver’s work is extremely precise, especially on the thick fabric of the curtain with multiple folds on the left side of the low-relief. These folds resonate with the crumpled appearance of the bedspread.
