Low-relief in limestone representing the crucifixion, a Christian theme that has inspired numerous artists. In this artwork, Jesus Christ is depicted on the cross, covered with a loincloth around the hips, eyes closed. The crucifix bears the INRI inscription, an acronym for “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.” This calcite low-relief is highly detailed. The background is finely crafted, with a beautiful shading that highlights the reliefs of Christ and adds depth to the artwork.

This bas-relief is ground on the edges of the cross and a piton is attached to the back so that it can be hung on the wall.
